Testimonials
I first must tell you how much I enjoy your interviews. I got hooked the very first time I listened. I just returned from 3 weeks in the Southwest combining alot of photography and spending time with family. During my trip I logged 6,000 miles. Before leaving I loaded my iPhone with your interviews and listen to some a couple of times. Truth be told I think I’ve listened to them all, I jump around. Your style is just excellent. Thank you for bring this to us Canon users.

Thanks again for the interview! It really meant a lot for you to recognize me!! I received over 1,400 plays from the video being on your site, which is incredibly awesome.

Thank you so much for an amazing podcast, great questions, love your sense of humor.

Kudos to you on your interesting questions. Very well done. I used to do a bit of interviewing when I was working with another business partner and I know how tricky it can be to come up with interesting questions.

Dave, congrads on a very cool setup. Was happy to be part of your first 6 months… Glad you got to interview Melvin too… You do an awesome job.

I have to say I am a real fan of your podcasts. It became my No. 1 podcast. You have great people which have very interesting view`s and not only from a photographic point of view. One day, I will be a candidate too.
(you need a dream), but before I need to become better.

I discovered your podcast a couple of months ago and it became an immediate favorite. You’re a good interviewer and talk to great photographers. I shoot Nikon, but don’t let that stop me – although it is a smidge sad that you won’t be able to talk to people like Scott Kelby or Joe McNally. I’m willing to blame Nikon for not sponsoring a spinoff.
Alan Lillich
Great interviews. I appreciate your work on the show. I would really love an interview of people from Still Motion Cinema + Photo. They are one of the top companies (in my opinion) of accomplishing this “fusion” of video and photo. Thanks.

Thanks for your show and “uplifting” segments on Canon based photography.
I’m relatively new to the Canon family. It bothers me how negative so many of the sites and forums are about Canon. If a product has issues, fine. But I don’t see quite the same malicious feeding frenzy on the Nikon sites? I was seriously thinking of switching to Nikon since I have so little currently invested in Canon. It is hard to go to the forums and get the information I want without a major dose of sour grapes raining on my enthusiasm.
Your site has helped me put it in perspective…although I still don’t enjoy most of the “canon sites”.
Good work on the shows. I like the variety.

Just want to congratulate you on LensFlare35! I recently discovered the podcasts and listen to them (on my iPod during my commute) as soon as they are released. I then eagerly await getting back home so that I can watch the narrated slideshow of each photographer’s work on the website.
I use Canon gear; so it is great to hear these fantastic photographers talk about the hardware, but mostly I am just inspired to go out and take more photos!

I found your podcast interviews today and just listened to your interviews with David Ziser and Rick Sammon and looked at the accompanying slideshows.
I enjoyed greatly the quality of your conversations with these busy photographers. Your congenial style made them warm to you so they discussed themselves and their work informatively and engagingly. You are clearly skilled in putting people at their ease.
I listen to a few podcasts and too often the discussion is trite, superficial and ineloquent, but not yours. I shall certainly listen to more of your podcasts which I find informative, convivial and, I think, intelligently crafted.

Hi, congrats for putting up a fantastic podcast! Now Canon shooters have a podcast to call our very own.
I was wondering if it’s possible for you to open your iTunes subscription to other countries as I’m unable to subscribe using iTunes – have resorted to manually downloading each episode.
Thanks and once again well done on a brilliant ‘cast and looking forward to more, esp the interview with Art Wolfe!
Cheers Jamie
About Dave Warner
And yes, that's not a DSLR in the Portrait, but I like the picture and I'm thinner then than I am now!
In his ‘spare time’, Dave hosts the weekly LensFlare35 shows which bring you interviews with some of the top photographers and filmmakers using Digital SLR cameras.
In what time is left over, he is a Landscape Photographer who captures the breath-taking beauty of the Mohawk Valley and Southern Adirondacks region in Upstate New York.
Unlike simple photographs, Warner uses advanced post-production techniques with the subtle touch of a stylist on a drawing pad to add back details in the texture, depth and color that are seen by the mind’s eye – but are sometimes lost by the lens of a camera.
The result is a spectacular landscape with vibrant colors, that draws you into the scene; stimulating the senses as if you were actually there. More information about Dave and samples of his work can be seen at the David Warner Studio website.
