Episode 0044: Interview with Charlie Borland, Commercial Photographer

LensFlare 35 is a weekly show brought to you by Dave Warner. In this week’s episode, Dave interviews Commercial Photographer Charlie Borland. Charlie has been shooting photography professionally for almost 30 years. He works for a variety of clients including corporations, advertising firms and editorial clients.

Charlie has won numerous awards for his stunning photographs and his work has appeared in prestigious publications including National Geographic Adventure and Traveler, Newsweek, TV Guide, Sports Illustrated for Women, and many more.

Charlie is also the co-owner of Fogstock, an online stock photography agency he co-founded to provide stock photographs to the public.

In this episode, Charlie talks about the ups and downs of a 30 year career, stock photography, how he gets his shots, advice for stock photographers, how to get clients in this tough economy, his new venture, and much more. We created a special video of Charlie’s images with his explanation of each that plays (above) and then the full podcast interview, which is below.
