Rick Sammon

Rick Sammon has published 34 books, including his latest, Rick Sammon’s Secrets to Digital Photography, Face to Face and Exploring the Light – all published in 2008!

His book, Flying Flowers won the coveted Golden Light Award, and his book Hide and See Under the Sea won the Ben Franklin Award.

Rick, who has photographed in almost 100 countries around the world, gives more than two-dozen photography workshops (including private workshops) and presentations around the world each year. Rick is a member of the Explorers Club and a Canon Explorer of Light.

Rick hosts five courses on kelbytraining.com and writes for PCPhoto. He’s also been nominated for the Photoshop Hall of Fame, and you can catch Rick at Photoshop World – which he says is a “blast.” When you see him and ask about his photo specialty, Rick will tell you “My specialty is not specializing.”

Rick has personally instructed (via the Canon Photo Safari TV series) the following celebrities (from left to right below): John O’Hurley (J. Peterman on Seinfield), David Allen Grier (tons of movies), Dana Delany (Law and Order and other TV specials), Kelly Packard (Baywatch and other TV shows) and Maria Conchita Alanzo (television star & recording artist), as well as 50’s Italian movie star, Riccardo Samone.
